Week to share and report about El Salvador through CORDES

CORDES TAU and have been working together for two years to support the development and autonomy of the Salvadoran people through some specific communities and projects.

It aims to strengthen bonds with el Salvador and let the Nothern know about society changes, hopes and dreams of a small Southern country such El Salvador in Central America. Some activities like conferences, in addition to the picture exhibition, meetings with NGO Coordinator and Government of Navarra, University of Deusto-Human Rights; will take place in four cities: Pamplona, San Sebastian, Santander and Bilbao.

  1. The basic objectives of all activities are:
  2. to strengthen bonds between North and South
  3. To present the experience of community work and the improvements in rural development of some of the Communities in El Salvador
  4. To highlight the main challenges facing these communities who works CORDES (crisis and food security, inequality, improving infrastructure and basic services ...)
  5. To publicize the social and political process experienced by the people of El Salvador since the civil war until today, reminding the person of Archbishop Oscar Romero and then lived context to the recent victory hopeful leader of the FMLN Mauricio Funes
  6. Perceiving the future possibilities that are opened in the country, from the viewpoint of CORDES in his 20 years working with the people and their advocacy work for democratic change in the country
