Location: Brisas del Yuna and Villa Liberacion district in Bonao town

Justification: With the dispensary enlargement, this Project wants to solve several problems which are mainly:
- Lack of functional purpose and differentiation of the dispensary wards in terms of medical care.
- Lack of space which doesn´t allow to give quality medical service to an increasing number of underprivileged patients in this area.
Specific aim: Increasing and improving the medical services that Nª Sra de Guadalupe dispensary located in Bonao offers.
Activities:
- building materials transport.
- medical attendance wards and medical main floor construction.
- pipes and plumbing work in toilets and rooms which need a sink.
- wiring.
- windows and Doors setting.
- new dispensary premises painting.
- main door gate and Windows bars making and setting.
Target population: 1,500 people will benefit by the Project.
Project length: 6 months
Budget: 22,993,10 Euros
Funding: TAU and Tolosa Town Hall
Achievement:
- Medical dispensary enlargement.. With a second floor of 70,67 square metres the dispensary will provide better medical care of its patients.
- The dispensary attends to Bonao underprivileged population needs ( Brisas del Yuna and Villa Liberacion district specially) with an average of 1,000 people at surgery hours in a month and 500 people in other medical services like laboratory, radiology,first aid, vaccination,ECG, ultrasound scanning…
- The dispensary enlargement allows more room where people being in poor health receive quality medical care. Besides the fact of getting better attention, the enlargement allows that a bigger number of patients receive medical help too.
