Justification: As a result of the disaster caused by the earthquake in the neighboring country of Haiti and its cholera epidemic appearance, different areas of Republica Dominicana have been affected too.
This is the case of Brisas del Yuna district where Nº Sra de Guadalupe foundation works. Due to the poor conditions and to the lack of resources, it is possible an outbreak of cholera happening there. In adition to the current impoverishment and sanitary infraestructure absence, some people from Haiti have arrived at this area.
Therefore there was a helping request from many local families and distric residents as well and a emergency Project started.
The Project’s main aim is to develope in two consecutive phases the lavatories building for a hundred families who didn´t have this Basic service ever before.
Clearly defined objective: building 100 lavatories for Brisas del Yuna families.

Target population: a hundred families
Project length: 6 months
Budget:: 20,069,50 Euros
Funding: TAU and S.Francisco de Asis parish (Pamplona).
Achievement:
This Project has been done in two consecutive phases during 2011 year. At first, 30 lavatory sheds were built in homes where the rest of dependences mainly the well, were in god conditions and 23 full equiped lavatories for many other families.
Later on , in the second phase 47 full equiped lavatories have been built.
