Location: Boarding school “Nuestra Señora de Begoña”, situated at kilometer 83 of the highway between Trinidad and Santa Cruz in the municipality of San Andrés, province of Marban- Beni

Justification: Since its creation, this boarding school accepts 100 children who receive during 10 month a year lodging, sufficient food, primary health care and education. Its installations have become bigger as time goes by and the first ones have become obsolete and insufficient for the amount of people the boarding school has to attend to today. The kitchen and the dining room are insufficient and there is still no study room.
Objectives: Improve necessary basic equipment and ensure dignified conditions for meal and education of the children in the boarding school “Nuestra Señora de Begoña”.
Improve conditions of hygiene and health in the elaboration and distribution of food in a secure and stable space needed for the children in the boarding school.
- Offer major comfort for the students of the boarding school for their attention and study possibilities.
Activities:
- Construction of an industrial kitchen for service and attention of 100 persons
- Construction and equipment for a dining room for 100 persons
- Construction and equipment of a study room and library for 100 persons
Beneficiary population: 100 children living in the boarding school "Ntra. Sra. de Begoña"
Project duration: 12 months
Budget and financing: 44,511.75 € (participate: Diputación Foral of Bizkaia and townhall of Zarautz, Spain)
Achievement:
New construction of room for kitchen, dining room and study room / library adequate for 100 persons.
